About a year back, I decided that my career was not moving in the speed or direction I was hoping it would at this time of my life. Because of this, I went out of my way to make as drastic of a change as possible- in hopes that things will change for the better. Of course, this isn’t to say that I am taking a blind leap of faith. I am a firm believer that if your moves are educated and calculated, it is very hard for you to fall completely off-balance with where are you are ultimately trying to end up in life. With all this being said, I took a year to prepare and audition for the Berklee College of Music in Boston. My dream school.
While attending Berklee was never something I anticipated I’d do, it was primarily something I had avoided because I was not a fan of the way traditional education was set up in the United States. However, upon further research, I decided that Berklee was the “drastic change” I was looking for in my life. And so I auditioned and interviewed my way in.
In about two weeks, I’ll be flying out to Boston- a side of the country I have never been to. Needless to say, I am very excited but more importantly, vehemently prepared and hungry for the ocean of knowledge that awaits me. For now, it’s just a waiting game.
Oh yeah, and the website and blog is redone. If you’re into that kind of thing, enjoy.
